Hello Evereyone!
We're in countdown mode to the baby's arrival. October 23rd can't come soon enough. The nursery is all set for little Liam and Alex has successfully made the transition to his new room and big boy bed.
Sandy is doing well, but as expected she'll be more comfortable when she's no longer pregnant!
We've been having a great summer with Alex. Last weekend we went out to Lester's Farm Market and Alex got to take in some of the animals on the farm. By the way, Alex feels that a donkey says Ha-Ha in stead of Hee-Haw. Don't try to argue with him :)
Today was also Doors Open in St. John's today and while Sandy had to work, Alex and I went out for the morning. We went to Bowring Park and then went to the Central Fire Station to check it out. As you can see, Alex decided to take the truck out for a spin. At least he was wearing a seatbelt. :)
Anyway, we'll update you all as we get closer to Liam's arrival. A little boy will be stiring soon from his afternoon nap and I have work to do. before he gets up!
Cheers,
Mark

It's been one of those weeks...ugh! Alex came home from Ottawa with a very bad stomach bug that took him most of the week to get over. Mark left for Halifax on Tuesday for work (flew home late Thursday night) leaving us one man down and then we rounded out the week with me getting a bit of the bug Alex had...as I said UGH!
Luckily we had a great time in Ottawa and despite all we seem to be on the mend (aside from our very untidy house...anyone want to send a cleaning service...lol).
I am including a few new pictures and videos here. My Uncle Ches was a god send last weekend with some pharmaceutical advice for us with Alex and was even brave enough to take a sick little boy in the pool who loved it very much. He's been saying Chssssss...Pooool since we got back and showing everyone how he splashed.
Since getting back, despite being sick he's been a trooper and has wanted to be busy when he's felt well enough. He got out on his bike with Pop one day although his wardrobe was not coordinated well that day, he had a good time.
He's also grown into a t-shirt that his Uncle Art proudly gave him when he was born. Very cute!
Baby Liam Nathaniel is very busy in mommy's belly and loves to wiggle around and kick. I am not really sure how such tiny little creatures can be soooo strong already. Wow, although this is our second time around it still amazes us!
We hope the summer is treating everyone well! Take care!

We are having a great time. Today is the first day that I am actually hanging out with my guys. Been in conference for the past two days which was good, but it's nice to start the relaxing portion.
We had a good flight up. As usual, Alex made quite the impression on everyone. I think he got the flight attendants' phone numbers. While I was in conference, Alexander and Daddy had a tour of Parliament Hill.
We had a great morning today in the Byward Market and enjoyed lunch there. What a great place. It in and of itself would make you want to move to Ottawa. Alex got a flower from a lady and we picked up some fresh strawberries, cherries, bread and cheese, AND of course in Ottawa some maple syrup.
We are hoping to head back there tomorrow morning. Maybe not a lot of diversity in our trip, but we are enjoying it completely! We've also visited with a friend of mine and another friend of Mark's for suppers. We are going to see my Uncle Ches tomorrow before we head to the airport. So still a few things to do.
See you soon!
Sandy
We are thrilled. Alex is going to have a little brother in October. Our ultrasound went really well yesterday and we got some great pictures of the baby. He is measuring right on for our dates (by this time Alex was measuring a few days ahead), so hopefully he's on track to be a bit smaller than Alex.
Alex is loving the warmer weather and loves it outside!
Last week was a busy one. We had a convocation party for my little sister Emily on Thursday and on Friday we attended my cousins convocation party. On Saturday we had international night which was yummy Chinese and on Sunday I attended a baby shower for a friend from highschool Joanne Small-Hopkins.
We are now counting down to our trip to Ottawa next week. I have a conference and we are piggy backing a mini-family vacation.
Other than that we are looking forward to a visit from Mark's mom in a few weeks and we are hoping to make a trip out to visit his Grandmother this weekend. Man oh man where does the time go.
Hope you are all enjoying the early days of summer. For us we are still waiting for the warm weather. Fingers crossed things are nice in Ottawa.
Cheers!
Sandy, Mark and Alex (...and baby fahey - yet to be named).
Time certainly is flying. We are into May. I am just about 4 months pregnant and Alex is certainly becoming our little man (not a baby anymore). He just cracks us up. Just this week he was in the lineup at the store with Pop and looked at the fella' behind him holding a coffee and asked "Double...Double?" Needless to say the frustrated crowd in the long slow moving line nearly fell over laughing at this little curious 16 month old.
We finally got a good recording of the baby's heartbeat which I am posting here. Up until now it would alway register, but we couldn't hear it clearly enough.
We are still guessing whether it is a boy or girl. Mark thinks girl I think boy (but I don't think either of us is really convinced with our instinct). We have our big ultrasound on the 28th of May (just a little over 3 weeks time) so hopefully we'll be able to get an idea then. We are just hoping for a healthy strong little one (hopefully not quite as big as Alex).
In other news, Mark's grandmother is visiting and Alex is having a ball with her. All we have heard for the last 36 hours is Nanna...we went to Walmart last night and everytime she went out of sight he would holler out. I think there is mutual affection there for sure!
That's all for now. Hope all is well with everyone!
Sandy
Mommy was off this past week with Alex while Pop and all were enjoying the Dominican Republic. We had so much fun. We attended a bunch of new playgroups and we found a ton of things to do. It was really hard for mommy to go back to work today, but luckily it's Friday and a long weekend for Mom!
Alex's Cousin Clark has been in our thoughts all week as he had surgery yesterday. Luckily despite a nerve wrecking time for everyone, the surgery went well and he's well on his way to recovery. His mommy and Daddy, Auntie Francene and Uncle Paul are enjoying seeing their little boy's new smile. You can leave them good wishes at: http://pffahey.spaces.live.com/.
We have added a few new videos. One that Daddy is quite proud of with Alex ordering one of Daddy's favourites and the other is of a fun day at Bowering Park with Mommy and Granma. Enjoy!
Happy Easter Everyone!
Well, it's a little early, but with the movie that we just posted, I thought it
appropriate. Alex helped mommy bake Easter cookies last night. Alex was hosting an Easter party today and he needed some cookies for his friends.
Mommy was so excited as this was the first time that Alex helped mommy make cookies. Mommy was making little birds nests (made of short bread and coconut and Cadbury mini-eggs) and Alex was responsible was putting the coconut in the cookies and he did a great job. I think Mommy now
has a helper for her Christmas cookies this year.
As for other exciting news this week, Sandy has a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and we're hoping to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. We'll post a recording if we get one. Fingers crossed!
Alex also went to have breakfast with the Easter bunny on Saturday morning. He was a little nervous meeting the bunny, but he was tired, so we'll chaulk it up to exhaustion :)
He did enjoy seeing Cosmo the Clown though. We have some nice pictures of Alex laughing at the entertainment provided but Sandy broke her card reader today and couldn't download her photos. We'll get the posted asap.
Take care!
The Fahey
It seems as though there is always something to update friends and family with. Where to start? Well, we just got a new car. We decided it was time to part with our old Sonata and upgrade to the new 2007 Sonata. Alex seems to love this car more than the last one. I can tell he does because he's managed to keep it fairly clean so far. It also has more room than the last one, which is a good thing because we're expecting our 2nd child in October.
I kind of sprung that one on you huh? let me repeat that...Sandy is pregnant and due on October 23rd. We can't wait. Sandy is doing really well apart from some mild queasiness and fatigue. We'll post more after our next doctor's visit.
Alex is spending the day with Auntie Em today while Poppy Sid cleans up from a huge water problem at his home in NWI. The excitement never stops for a second.
I hear Alex sqealling now, so I'd better go see if he's giving Auntie Em a hard time. I also just heard a "hu oh", so that can't be good.
Cheers,
Mark
Hello and welcome to our new home online! I know, another website, but this one seems to have everything that the last one didn't. We can post videos, audio files and photos. I haven't figured out all of the little extras yet, but for now it's much faster and easier to use than our last one. I'll post more things are soon as I can.
